Denmark’s capital offers many sights that invite you to take a first walk.
After breakfast, you leave Denmark’s vibrant capital and travel through beautiful beaches, wonderful landscapes, and fragrant forests. Along the way, you pass the picturesque harbor town of Helsingør, where you can take the time to visit the impressive Kronborg Castle. Afterwards, you take the ferry to Sweden—a journey of just 20 minutes—and set foot once again on Swedish soil in Helsingborg (approximately 450 SEK per person, not included).
The day begins with a train journey from Helsingborg to Falkenberg, one of the oldest towns in Halland County. From here, you continue cycling along the coast, where you can enjoy picturesque fishing villages and meet many local artisans. In Träslövsläge, you have the opportunity to feast on freshly cooked lobster before reaching Varberg, your final destination for the day.
Leave Varberg behind with the sea as your constant companion heading north. From a distance, you’ll already see the town’s impressive fortress rising against the horizon. If you wish, you can visit the Bocksten Man—a well-preserved bog body from the 15th century—at the museum next to the fortress (not included). From Varberg, the journey continues through open landscapes, past Åsa, and along horse farms and fields. Don’t miss the Li Grave, an ancient burial site with over 100 stones. Today’s stage offers fantastic views all the way to Kungsbacka.
You leave Kungsbacka and head towards Gothenburg, passing by the elegant seaside resort of Särö, which has been a popular destination for over a century. Along the way, you’ll cycle past rocks, lush forests, bays, and harbors. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Gothenburg, the vibrant heart of the city with everything it has to offer.
By train (including luggage), you continue from Gothenburg to Stockholm. In the afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to explore Sweden’s capital on foot. Discover the city’s landmarks from the water on a boat tour, visit its historic harbor, or enjoy museums and parks. Be sure to try a classic Swedish cinnamon bun at one of the city’s cozy cafés and stroll along some of Stockholm’s most famous streets and green areas.
Along Lake Mälaren, Sweden’s third-largest lake, you cycle to Drottningholm Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, by the lake’s shore, the royal family grew up. Take your time to explore the beautiful palace and the 18th-century Chinese Pavilion. You continue your tour over bridges to the island of Södermalm. You also pass Gamla Stan with its cobblestone streets and inviting cafés, as well as the island of Skeppsholmen, featuring an impressive sculpture garden with modern art. Overnight stay in Stockholm.
After breakfast your tour ends in Copenhagen. We are happy to extend your holiday with extra nights.
