Itinerary

Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, offers many attractions that are perfect for a first stroll

After breakfast, you leave Denmark’s vibrant capital and travel through beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes, and fragrant forests. Along the way, you pass the picturesque harbor town of Helsingør, where you may take the time to visit the impressive Kronborg Castle. Then, you take the ferry across to Sweden – a journey of just 20 minutes – and set foot on Swedish soil again in Helsingborg (approx. 450 SEK per person, not included).

The day begins with a train journey from Helsingborg to Falkenberg, one of the oldest towns in Halland County. From here, you continue along the coast, where you can enjoy picturesque fishing villages and meet many local artisans. In Träslövsläge, you’ll have the opportunity to feast on freshly cooked lobster before reaching Varberg, your final destination for the day.

Leave Varberg behind with the sea as your constant companion heading north. From a distance, you’ll already see the city’s impressive fortress rising on the horizon. If you wish, you can visit the Bocksten Man – a well-preserved 15th-century bog body – at the museum next to the fortress before departure (not included). From Varberg, the journey continues through open landscapes, past Åsa, and along horse farms and fields. Don’t miss the Li Grave, an ancient burial site with over 100 standing stones. Today’s route offers stunning views all the way to Kungsbacka.

You leave Kungsbacka and travel towards Gothenburg, passing by the bourgeois amusement park Särö, which has been a popular destination for over a century. Along the way, you pass stones, lush forests, bays, and harbors. Late in the afternoon, you arrive in Gothenburg, the city’s vibrant heart with everything it has to offer.

After breakfast your bike tour ends. We are happy to extend your holidays with extra nights in Copenhagen.

Tour character

You cycle on well sign-posted bike paths and gravel roads as well as side roads with less traffic, short sections are on roads with more traffic. To some extent there are simpler trail conditions with raw gravel. Flat to slightly hilly tour course.
